PRAYER GOALS FOR 2023

What’s Next?

  1. As a house of abiding prayer, that we seek the Lord and trust his direction for us.

  2. As a body of Christ, that we invite members, renew connections, and see post-pandemic growth.

  3. As a blessed community, that we excel in giving, meeting our budget and volunteer needs.

  4. As a multi-generational church, that we lift-up children, youth and young adults in their faith.

We will seek you Lord!

Then they entered into a covenant to seek the Lord, the God of their ancestors, with all their heart and soul. -- 2 Chronicles 15:12 NLT

Lord, you will stay with us as we stay with you.
If we seek you, we will find you.

We come out of previous years having experienced some victories and many defeats.

No matter the season, we need you for what’s next.

We have been in trouble.  We have failed you.
We need your mercy.  And so we seek you.

Every kind of problem we’ve experienced is known to you. Our world needs you. Your people seek you.

For our individual lives, relationships, callings, and convictions, we will seek you Lord.

For my hopes and dreams this year,
I will seek you Lord.

For our church, it’s unity, love, and ministry assignments, we will seek you Lord.

For determining what’s next for Northwest,
we will seek you Lord.

Father, if we fail in any way,
we will seek your mercy again.

Jesus, we promise to seek you with our heart, and soul, and mind, and strength.

Holy Spirit, we promise to be seekers in reading, praying, and fasting this year.

We will seek you Lord in 2023 and beyond.

We will seek you Lord!

Prayer & Bible Plan

  1. Pray for our prayer goals in addition to daily praise, thanksgiving, confession, requests, and listening to Jesus.  Please pray together, join prayer meetings and accept prayer ministry at church as God leads.

  2. Fast along with prayer as often as you like.  Three times this year we will have a “week of prayer and fasting” to encourage this all together (i.e. January, April, September).

  3. Read according to our three-year bible reading plan (see Resources).  Underlining, journaling, memorizing, and sharing scriptures are all great ways to hear God’s words.

Memory Verse

Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, and that he may send the Messiah, who has been appointed for you—even Jesus. -- Acts 3:19-20 NIV
